My dog’s name is Sally. She was a runt of her litter and because of that, she was about to be thrown away from a shelter.

My old dog, Gigi, had just died and I was super mad at my parent’s of even THINKING of replacing her. Gigi was the most laid back dog EVER and she was ugly. She looked like one of those dogs that ran into a glass door and her face was squished as a result of that. We had inherited Gigi from my best friend’s family who, for who knows why, couldn’t keep the dog. We had Gigi for about 4 or 5 years. I was in college, in New York, when she died. I was very unhappy and pissed at my parents for not saving her life. I’m still a little pissed.

Before Gigi, we had Brandon. Brandon only lasted for 2 years before he was put to sleep. He was the kindest dog and we had him since he was a puppy. The day we got him was the day Brandon Lee died, so we named him Brandon in memoriam.

He was also very beautiful [he was a Siberian Husky]…he was pretty gentle..until Gigi moved in [yes, we had two dogs at one time]. Brandon fell in love with Gigi and was uber overprotective. So much, that somebody seemed to have threatened Gigi and Brandon attacked that person. Because of the attack, we had to put Brandon to sleep. I vaguely remember it because I was on drugs…not like, drug drugs..but I was suffering from pneumonia and on some heavy medication. My sister came in, crying, after the Animal people came in to grab brandon..I was too loopy to understand what was going on and because of that, I just pretend that Brandon ran away.

Before Brandon, we had Whitey. Whitey was my doggie [i called him doggie then] since I was born, til I was about 4 or 5. He followed me around and we have tons of pictures of me, eating ice cream, and my dog diligently following me. We had to leave him in New York because he would not survive the trip cross country to california. My mother says that Whitey loved me so much, that he didn’t eat for days [as we gave him away to a family friend on the east coast]. I wonder if he’s still alive, probably not…I wonder if he would remember me.

I don’t know why I’m typing about my dogs. I miss my dog Sally. I named her after one of my favorite characters in one of my favorite movies “when harry met sally”. When I went home to California, Sally had not forgotten me and she slept with me on the couch and on the bed. I took her out for walks and car rides and she adored me.

Dogs are the best. Their love is unparallel and I hope I can love as much as they can to another person and be as loyal.

I just miss my dog. sorry. I can’t get a new dog here. I wonder if I could ever have another dog.

[jender]. HA! I met her in the fifth grade. She was the most popular in elementary school and I was the fatass with glasses. She got like all the boys to have all the crushes on her and I remember she used to show her friends Debbie and Jennifer that she could do the �heavy D� [can you believe that was a dance?]. Anyway, I so wanted to be her friend cause she was so cool and I was so shy and uncool.

[kay] Oh man. She�s my California sister. If I never met her, then she would never have met her current boyfriend [ha!]. I would probably have lowered my �dude� quotient I would be missing a lot of laughs, concerts and late night chats at La Jolla shores. Kay is like an eclipse�she�s not around a lot, but when she is, it�s always worth the wait.

Some things that are interesting while out in California:

–i went to street scene. my dormant hetereosexual crush on shirley manson has resurfaced.
–i went to a wedding where i saw a bunch of people i hadn’t seen in years. a guy, whom i was extremely close with but lost touch with [for those who know, it was Thai S.] and he was talking to some girl, i tapped him on the back and he turned around and gave a dramatic look of shock and said “OH…MY…GOD…Sharon [enter last name here]” then whomever he was talking to said “this girl was my bestest friend in high school!!” and he hugged me. We ended up talking all night. Good times.
–A bunch of people i saw either lost or gained a bunch of weight [mostly the latter], I, am pretty much the same…maybe a little heavier. speaking of which…
–When I fly back to Massachusetts, i’m going on the “I’m the Maid of Honor, I gotta look unbelievably hot” diet. I have EXACTLY a year to fit in this strapless, short maid of honor champagne dress. Now I have a goal. This should be…interesting.
–I went to a yoga class and anybody will tell you…i do NOT sweat at all. I just don’t know why. But, not at yoga class. I was sweating like a mofo…I actually became disgusted with myself and YOGA IS HARD. However, I quite enjoyed the challenge and am interested in seeing about yoga classes in MA…
–I miss that people who care about sports. People don’t really care here so..whilst I’m super excited to check out the new baseball park here [Petco Park], I could only get people who are not necessarily interested in baseball but rather just wanna hang out with me. Hey, I’ll take it but I guess no sports talk…
–the weather is BEAUTIFUL. How can anybody leave this?
–I accidentally called the five [interstate five] “route five”…can you believe that shit? My siblings were saying ‘what HAPPENED to you? it’s not a route!’ [and yes, they pronounced route the way it’s supposed to be pronounced, [rhyming with ’bout’] not the way people say it back in MA, which is “root” ]
–I was told “oh my god, you sound so WHITE!” AHHHHH. I lost any ability to do my impression of a filipino accent. But some people are enjoying my impression of a boston accent [which actually isn’t very good]
–I see more boston red sox hats here than any other hat…and this is San Diego!
–my dog Sally has NOT forgotten me and is uber excited to hang out with me again.

ah. contrary to popular belief [and because I said it], the last entry was not my LAST entry. I figured I would have a special California edition while I was out in California before I finish consolidating my diaries.

Some things that are interesting while out in California:
